ClimateClimate: Nepal experiences four seasons, Winter - December to February; Spring - March to May; Summer - June to August and Autumn - September to November. They have a rainy period from June to September. Climatic conditions vary according to region, the northern mountainous area has a typical alpine climate with extremely cold winters; the central region is mild throughout the year, with cool to cold winter evenings and the south of Nepal has a hot tropical climate with high humidity.

What to WearWhat to Wear: You will need lightweights from May to October, depending on where you plan to go!! Sweaters and jackets will be needed for the cool evenings and for the higher altitudes. If you're planning a mountain retreat be sure to pack warm, heavyweight clothing as well as gloves, hats and boots. Waterproofing will be needed during the rainy season. Women should wear conservative clothing.
