Climate: The climate is tropical with rainfall between October and March. The average maximum temperature is +- 27 degrees C. Seasonal temperature variations are minimal. Winter is cooler than summer but by no means cold.
What to Wear: Cool summer cottons and other lightweight wear. Sunhats, sunscreen and swimwear - essential. Waterproofing may be handy throughout the year but particularly during the wetter period. It is not acceptable for women to wear skimpy clothing, particularly when visiting a village. Beachwear should be worn in the appropriate areas only.
