Location: Mongolia is in Northern Asia, between China and Russia
Geographical Features: Mongolia is a mountainous region high above sea level. Its landscape is characterised by a mountainous steppe with forests, grasslands, desert and semi-desert regions. There are many rivers and lakes, Lake Huvsgal being the largest fresh water lake in Central Asia. The forest are home to deer, antelope, elk, wild boar and brown bears, with lynx and snow leopard found in the remote mountain areas.
